Testimonials

  • “Rhonda has been my tutor for one year. I love her so much. I have had a lot of teachers and tutors and she is the first one to understand what it is like in my mind. She has helped me to be a better reader and writer. She is smart, kind, funny, a dog lover, and the best teacher ever! When I am with Rhonda, I feel safe. I can ask her any question and she always knows what I’m trying to say. When we work together, she sits across from me and she can write upside down in perfect handwriting.”

  • “My 6-year old daughter began working with Miss Rhonda at the beginning of the pandemic via zoom and we have continued to work with her remotely after moving to North Carolina because we can’t imagine being on the journey of learning to read without her! As a professional in a related field, I had a strong sense of what I envisioned in a tutor for my daughter and Rhonda has far surpassed ALL of my expectations. The depth of her knowledge amazes me and she individualizes every single lesson with the child’s strengths and challenges in mind. She is incredibly creative, patient, focused, and willingly shares her resources and ideas so I could incorporate them into reading time in our home. Rhonda is the sole reason my daughter has made progress in reading this past year and I have learned so much about how to help my daughter continue to grow.”

  • “Rhonda has dramatically changed our lives. My severely dyslexic 10 year old son was unsuccessful in public school. We then tried a private school for children with language based delays and was unsuccessful there as well. I never thought my son would read, ever. We then met Rhonda and in two years he is reading. Aside from being an incredibly qualified dyslexia tutor, Rhonda is patient, caring, kind, thoughtful, unstoppable, creative, motivated…there aren’t enough words to describe her. She is truly a blessing.”

Her methods are highly effective, and have helped my daughter achieve many reading and writing goals. Rhonda’s passion and enthusiasm have motivated my daughter in so many ways. Rhonda’s easy smile, encouraging words and positive attitude make my child look forward to every session she attends. Rhonda works tirelessly to create a personalized program for every student… and there is no greater resource than an individualized plan tailored to your child’s unique needs. Working with Rhonda has been transformative for my child’s academic success and emotional well-being. I feel such a sense of relief and encouragement to have found a trusted, caring professional who truly understands how to best serve my child! I am so grateful to Rhonda!”

  • “We hit the jackpot finding Rhonda Graff. You won’t find a more knowledgeable and experienced dyslexia educator. Rhonda is friendly, open, very organized and a great communicator. Her grounded, straightforward and methodical approach is so reassuring and is proving to be hugely successful for our 9 year old son. He has only seen her weekly for 6 months and made so many gains and filled so many learning holes, that I kiss the ground she walks on every time I drop my son off. She keeps him on track, keeps him motivated and all this with no meltdowns! She is fully present with him and knows exactly what she is doing. She remains upbeat and positive. Keeping him at a steady momentum and even when he complains of boredom with the repetition, he still enjoys his time with her. He is learning and he is feeling more confident. I wish we had found her sooner, but I am grateful we have her now. She is as vital to our family as our pediatrician is! I cannot recommend her highly enough!”

  • “Rhonda is truly an exceptional dyslexia reading tutor. She will go above and beyond to help her students. When we first started working together, I was struggling with pronouncing the short and long vowel sounds. Rhonda told me that I could call her and practice for a few minutes every day until I got it. She is very patient and understanding. Rhonda also customizes and personalizes every lesson to fit each student’s needs. If there was a certain word I misspelled, Rhonda noted it and made sure to integrate it into our next lesson. She pays attention to every detail and keeps an organized folder and binder for each one of her students. She puts a lot of work and effort outside of each meeting to prepare. When I was first working with Rhonda, I was also studying for the MCAT. Knowing that, Rhonda was committed to my success on the exam and integrated vocabulary into our lessons. This helped me on the exam. Rhonda has been the most caring, patient, positive, and compassionate teacher that I ever encountered. She has a true passion to help her students succeed. If you want a tutor that not only is qualified, but will also be your advocate, then Rhonda is definitely the one. Learning to overcome dyslexia can be challenging and tiring, and if I didn’t have someone who was as dedicated and committed as Rhonda, I would not have been able to improve as much as I did.”

  • “Three years ago when our child was diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia, we were lost. We knew we had a very intelligent child, but we did not know how we could ensure they were going to get the help that they needed to succeed. School was hard. It was frustrating. It was sad. Rhonda’s name was given to us by numerous people, so we reached out and began working with her. All we can say is that she is AMAZING and has changed our child’s life forever! The amount of growth that our child had within a short period of time was mind-blowing. We started out with handwriting that was unintelligible and have since progressed to neat, beautiful cursive handwriting. We had a child who did not like to read on their own, to a child who spends nearly all free time reading books cover to cover. We had a child who avoided writing and did the minimal requirements on an assignment, to a child who would happily come running down the stairs after a session, yelling, “I wrote a paragraph all on my own!” Now our child is writing plays and began writing a book with friends. Rhonda’s guidance and expert OG teaching strategies gave them that success. Rhonda is not only a tutor, but a trusted resource. She has provided us with strategies to help our child be successful in school. She has guided us as parents in our journey with school CSE committees. She has attended school meetings on our behalf to ensure necessary modifications are made. She has provided us with a wealth of knowledge which we are so grateful for. It is difficult to find a true OG teacher who can teach and inspire your child to such results, and we are so grateful to have Rhonda in our lives.”

Our son Christopher has made tremendous improvements in his reading, writing skills, and overall struggles with his dyslexia. Rhonda has given our son a new-found self-esteem and confidence to learn. He enjoys every session he has and never complains when the work gets hard. We couldn't do it without her.”
